Tango. Violin, violoncello and double bass, c.3’45.  It is styled after the Argentinian composers of tangos and orchestrated here for chamber group with the melodic interplay between the violin and cello. Woodwind Quintet. A three-movement work for flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. The first movement is primarily derived from a motif isolated from a transcription of the call of a Willy Wagtail; the second movement uses a derivative series of notes extracted from the ‘chatter’ of the White-breasted Honeyeater; while the final movement is a rondo based on ornithological recordings made at The Diamantina Lakes National Park in the channel country of Far Western Queensland.
